This widely grown herb is much valued for its strong, sweet flavour. It is closely related to Peppermint which is often used in herbal tisanes. Spearmint has a less strong flavour.

Za’atar is an aromatic herb mix produced from an indigenous variety of thyme that can be used as a dip, topping or seasoning. The thyme is mixed by hand with sea salt, toasted sesame and sumac.

Paprika is widely used for its rich, aromatic flavour in stews and casseroles such as Hungarian Goulash, omelettes and as a garnish for cheese or vegetable dishes.
